Tommy Joe Nettles Sr., 59, of Coldspring, died Feb. 6, 2005, in Conroe.
He was born Dec. 19, 1945 in LaGrange, to Joe and Carrie Nettles, both of whom preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn J. Nettles; daughters, Melisa Walling and her husband Brad and Michelle Ellis and her husband Stacy; son, T.J. Nettles Jr. and wife Lauri; grandchildren, Morgan Ellis, Hunter Walling, Alexis Nettles, Courtney Nettles, Blakelea Nettles, Skylar Ellis and Sydney Walling; brother, Royce Gene Nettles and wife Doris and mother in law, Lucile Morgan. Funeral services were held at First Baptist Church Coldspring. Graveside services followed in Nettles Cemetery, Livingston.

 DWAYNE W. NORRIS, a 24-year veteran of the Houston Fire Dept., passed away unexpectedly on the 11th of July 2010.He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Carol Sue; daughter, Kayce Kathleen Norris; sister, Linda Seigle and husband, Mark; brother, Chris Norris; step daughter, Tiffany Dunlap; and many other relatives. Funeral services for Haward C. Nichols Sr., 87, of Cushing will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25 at the Dickie Allen Funeral Home in Cushing with Bro. Mike Williams officiating. Burial will be in the McKnight Cemetery. Mr. Nichols died Tuesday in Nacogdoches. He was born April 21, 1925, in Cushing to George W. and Elsie Whitaker Nichols. Mr. Nichols had lived in Cushing for the last 28 years and attended New Faith Church. He had lived in Houston for 37 years and worked for the City of Houston as a fireman for 34 years. Mr. Nichols was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran and a member of the Cushing Masonic Lodge 911. He was preceded in death by his parents and by brother Hall Nichols and sister Helene Johnston. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Nichols of Cushing; sons Haward Jr. and wife Jackie Nichols of the Woodlands and George and Phyllis Nichols of Willis; daughter Elsie and husband Joe Gilmore of the Woodlands; brothers Lester Nichols of Cushing and Herbert and wife Vera Nichols of Lilbert; and sister Hollie Blackburn of Nacogdoches; eight grandchildren, Robert Nichols and wife Jess, Rick Nichols and wife Rebecca, Samantha David, Rhianna Smith, Angela Nichols, Julie Nichols, Steven Gilmore and Ryan Gilmore; four great grandchildren, Isabel Nichols, Sarah Nichols, Grace Nichols and Braxton David Pallbearers will be Rick Nichols, Rob Nichols, Steven Gilmore, Ryan Gilmore, Ray Nichols and Shane Johnson.
