Memorial services for Clyde O. Quinton, 86, of Palestine will be at 1 p.m.  Saturday at Fields Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. David Bergman officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster, Palestine.
Mr. Quinton died March 10 at his residence.  He was born March 1, 1924 in San Felipe, Texas, to Roy and Maedelle Gebhardt Quinton.
Mr. Quinton was retired from the Houston Fire Department. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy Triplett Quinton;  son, Curtis Wayne Quinton; and his brothers. Mr. Quinton is survived by his sister, Mary Santora of Elkhart; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
